Overhead transmission lines, cables lines, power stations and substations
PL (Power Lines) Construction and reconstruction
Overhead power lines are currently the most popular method of electric power transmission to the consumer. PL construction is a rigorously verified process including:
1. Land topographical survey (pattern of available pipelines, buildings, facilities, natural landscape, etc. of the facility under examination)
2. Preliminary approval procedure
3. Site surveying (soil sampling for further determination of foundation type and mark)
4. Design (development of highway passing variants, selection of type and mark of foundations, supports, wires. Load computations. Selection of RZiA (Relay protection and automation) equipment)
5. Preparation of working documentation
6. Delivery of necessary materials and equipment
7. Construction and erection works, including:
- Sub-support layout
- Trench excavation
- Foundation arrangement (in accordance with project decision)
- Refilling of trench (in accordance with of design institute decision)
- Supports delivery to the site, assembly
- Installation of support
- Installation of pendant fittings, insulators and wiring
- Start-up works
- Site improvement
- Commissioning of the facility subject to inspection board's approval
Cable lines. Construction and reconstruction
Gradually conventional overhead power lines are superseded by cable lines due to greater functionality of the latter. Lines being laid in aesthetic way (underground and submerged laying along the facilities) considerably improve energy safety, for they are less exposed to natural phenomena.
Preparatory cable line construction stages are similar to those of overhead PL. Technological peculiarities of construction and erection works during cable route construction assume creation of cable facilities of different types using trays with cable inside. This technology is applied for up-to-date megapolises (space saving) and conservation areas (conservation of landscape).
Electric power stations and substations. Construction and reconstruction
In up-to-date power supply systems substation is a primary supplying centre of power facilities. Maximum reliability and safety level is reached not only due to well-developed power technologies market, but also due to professional approach to construction of the building itself.
Construction and erection of substations is carried out at the operational location with strict observance of all stages:
1. Allocation of land for construction;
2. Preparation of the ground;
3. Designing;
4. Equipment delivery to the facility;
5. Installation of equipment;
6. Start-up works;
7. Commissioning of the facility.
