Manufacturing of packing for RAH (Regenerative Air Heater)
RAH packings are heat-exchange surface of different model type regenerating rotary air heaters, used in power boiler plants and designed for heat transfer from gases, exhausted to atmosphere, to air entering steam boiler furnace for combustion.
An important factor contributing to fuel economy in modern boiler plants is air heating by means of exhaust gases which increases evaporative efficiency of the boiler plant and results in loss reduction with exhaust gases. Use of air heaters in boiler plants is an essential criterion of fuel economy. Regenerative rotary air heaters are one of basic types of air heaters used in boiler industry. In regenerative air heaters heat from combustion products is transferred to hot air by means of alternate heating and cooling of the same heat surface.
Besides high level of air heating (exhaust gas cooling), regenerative rotary air heater (RAH) for boiler plant meets the following requirements: compactness (lesser metal costs, smaller clear height, small weight), availability of all units, stainlessness (nonmetallic corrosion preventive heat surface use without heat exchange drop), easy cleaning and washing of heat surface of air heater.
