Self-supported insulated and protected wires for aerial transmission lines
 SSW-1, SSW-2, SSW-3, SSW-4

SSW-1

Self-supporting conductor with aluminum cores, light-stabilized cross-linked polyethylene insulation, aluminum alloy neutral supporting bare core.

SSW-2

Self-supporting conductor with aluminum cores, light-stabilized cross-linked polyethylene insulation, aluminum alloy neutral supporting core, insulated with light-stabilized cross-linked polyethylene.

SSW-3

Self-supporting protected conductor with aluminum alloy current-carrying core, with light-stabilized cross-linked polyethylene protective insulation.

SSW-4

Self-supporting insulated conductor without supporting element with aluminum current-carrying cores and light-stabilized cross-linked polyethylene insulation.

Construction

1. Current-carrying conductor is made of aluminum (for SSW -3 is made of aluminum alloy), round-shaped, stranded, compacted.
2. Neutral supporting conductor is made of aluminum alloy, round-shaped, twisted of round wires, compacted.
3. Insulation - neutral supporting conductor and protective insulation of protected conductors is performed of light-stabilized cross-linked polyethylene. Insulation is black in color.
4. Twist - insulated current-carrying conductors are twisted around a neutral supporting conductor. Conductors twist is right-hand. SSW-4 insulated current-carrying conductors are twisted against each other.

Application

SSW-1 – for mains of overhead power lines (OHL) and OHL linear taps for rated voltage of up to 0.6/1 kV included, with rated frequency of 50 Hz in I and II type air atmosphere according to GOST 15150-69.
SSW-2 – for mains of overhead power lines (OHL) and OHL linear taps for rated voltage of up to 0.6/1 kV included, with rated frequency of 50 Hz in II and III type air
atmosphere according to GOST 15150-69, including on sea and salt lake shores, in industrial areas and saline sand areas.
SSW-3 – for overhead power lines for rated voltage of 20 kV (systems for voltage of 10, 15, 20 kV) and 35 kV (systems for 35 kV) with rated frequency of 50 Hz in II and III type air atmosphere according to GOST 15150-69, including on sea and salt lake shores, in industrial areas and saline sand areas.
SSW-4 – for OHL taps to bushing and for installation along walls of buildings and engineering structures for rated voltage of up to 0.6/1 kV included, with rated frequency of 50 Hz in II and III type air atmosphere according to GOST 15150-69, including on sea and salt lake shores, in industrial areas and saline sand areas. Installation is performed according to EIC (edition 7, section 2, chapter 2.4).
